Murder of Tyrone Keeton (and friend) Dec 2, 1995
« on: March 11, 2010, 04:16:45 PM »
On Dec 2, 1995 my brother Tyrone Keeton, age 21 was murdered behind the Sunny's convenience store in the Glen Iris subdivision of SW Houston. He and his friend were dropped off at the store to buy beer. The guys who dropped them off waited in the truck. Another vehicle pulled up with 3 black males in it. There was an argument and then a gun was pulled by one of the three black males. The guys who dropped off my brother fled. When my brother and his friend came out of the store, the 3 black males confronted them, and versions of the story differ at this point,.but what resulted was my brother and his friend being shot, my brother died at the scene and his friend died at the hospital.

I am very sorry about your brother.

Have you spoken with the police to get an update? If stories were not the same, maybe now, after 15 years, they can solve it.

Yes we spoke to the police many times, they say that at the time they believe they knew who did it but didn't have proof enough to make arrests.

I guess one option is to hire a private investigator. It can be a bit expensive, but if they can provide the police a lead, who knows what can happen.

I hope one of those people who know what happens will be brave enough to come forward.
