Slaying motive sought
Staff
Police have not determined a motive in the slaying of a man who was shot while talking on a pay phone at a southwest Houston convenience store Sunday.
Scott James Pollock, 30, was shot about 2:45 a.m. at 5178 Richmond.
Police said Pollock had been in a nightclub at Windsor Plaza with friends.
They became separated and Pollock went to the pay phone when the club closed. Pollock was talking to his friends on their car phone when a man walked up to him.
Police said Pollock argued with a man who shot him once in the chest. Pollock was dead at the scene.
The gunman ran from the scene and was seen jumping into a black BMW that sped east on Richmond
