Angela Darling | September 1989 | 25000 Cypresswood
« on: June 24, 2008, 07:30:32 PM »
I am pretty sure I have the name right. I never heard if they found her killer. The last I heard was that her boyfriend was a suspect, but never heard anything else down the road about it. She was found in a wooded area near her apartment is all I can really remember about it now. Does anyone remember this case and have any details on what ever happened?

Never heard of this case at all. Nothing seems to show up on any of my searches. It could be a case where the police know 99% for certain who did it, but are just short on proving it.

I remember the case very well.  I worked with Angie at a downtown investment banking firm and had just been with her earlier the day of her murder.  Her boyfriend was a suspect but was never arrested in connection with her murder.  We never heard any details about the case or if there were any other suspects.   It was if  the case just went cold while it was still warm.

I believe it was late 1989...August or September possibly October.

I remember Angie. She was a really cool person. Met her through my sister and her sister Linda. Her boyfriend, Paul I believe was his name, had anger issues and she was to break up with him. They never had enough to charge him and then it went cold because the suspect list was nil. She is missed but never forgotten!

I might be mistaken, but I think she was murdered in late spring of 1988. I know it couldn't have been later than mid 1989, because I attended her funeral and I was living out of Texas by late summer of 1989. She was a good friend of my best friend, that is how I met her. She went to the Pink Floyd concert with us (6 of us) in November of 1987, I am pretty sure that is the last time I saw her till I heard about her murder. She was very nice. My best friend met her boyfriend and said he had major anger issues.  I am sad to read that nobody has ever been charged with her murder.

Thanks for the info....I don't know why this case just stuck with me over the years. I just remember this pretty girl being found and they said at the time the boyfriend had done it. Then nothing was said again about it. I guess he got away with it.

I don't think the killer got away with it. The news just did a feature on this murder, and I am sure some leads will come in. Wonder if DNA evidence is present. Hope the police can solve this case!
