Crime Stoppers Searching for NE Houston Murder Suspects

Crime Stoppers is asking for help from the public to find the suspect or suspects responsible for the Feb. 29 shooting death of a man in northeast Houston.

The body of Courtney James, 21, was found on Feb. 29 alongside the road at the 1900 block of Staples.

James was robbed and shot to death at another location but his body was placed on Staples, according to investigators.

Before he was killed, James had visited friends in near the intersection of South Braeswood and Gessner in southwest Houston. James was unfamiliar with the northeast section of Houston where his body was found.

Crime Stoppers is willing to pay up to $5,000 for information that leads to the identification, arrest and charging of any suspect in this case.  All callers to 713-222-8477 will remain anonymous.
