Ice Box Murders - HOUSTON, TEXAS - Father's Day, June 20, 1965, A day of celebration for many residents in Houston, Texas. It wasn't a likely location for Houston's most grisly double homicide. But on that date, two elderly residents of 1815 Driscoll Street, Fred C. Rogers 81, and his wife, Edwina H. Rogers 72, were murdered. Three nights later their mutilated, dissected bodies were found in the kitchen refrigerator of their home by 2 Houston police officers.

Do you think the son could still be alive? Have they had any leads since then?

I owuld doubt 45 years later the son is still alive, but who knows.

No word on any tips, but I am sure they still get one everyone once in a while.

This was a very strange case indeed. I read an old Houston Chronicle article that indicated the police found a note in the abandoned house many years later. The note read, "I killed my parents". The police are pretty sure that Charles wrote the note. There was a book that came out in the early 1990's called, "The Man on the Grassy Knoll", which posited that Charles Rodgers was the man on the grassy knoll who whacked JFK. It was an outlandish claim, but there were some strange connections, such as the fact that Charles was a pilot.

I remember hearing about this.  Strange thing about this case is none of the neighbors knew about Charles or that he was living there.
