Crime Stoppers and HPD Homicide investigators are asking for the public’s help in solving the disappearance and death of 3-

in possession of a weapon after a shotgun was found in his apartment during the missing boy’s investigation.

As of this date, Kendrick Jackson has not been found, and his case now is being investigated as a homicide.

Crime Stoppers will pay up to $5,000 for information leading to the identification, arrest and charging of any suspect(s) in this case. Anyone with information on the case is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS (8477). All callers remain anonymous.

What are the chances that the father did this? Has that been looked into? I guess he wouldn't saw anything, he doesn't have anything to lose. Have the family stopped asking questions?

if they gave him 15 years for having a gun, they must strongly suspect him. What did he do with the child??? I hope they find out soon

It was my understanding that the father actually did state he killed the boy when enough people said they were not at the bus stop.  The father got mad at the child, hit him/strangled or what ever and then put him in his car and carried him across town to East side and put him in a dumpster.  By the time the police became suspicious and collected cleaning supplies and then started searching for body --it was supposedly under thousands of pounds of garbage in a N. Houston dump site.  Is my understanding that the police could not justify the expense and time trying to move xxx pounds of garbage to look for the child.

The law enforcement did the next thing they could -- feds stepped in filed the gun charges....  I was so ticked off at the time.  There was more time spent on another child that year.  A great disparity in skin color.  I am white and saw the disparity was so blatent.  Sadly there was very little outrage from the public on this incident.  Very little community outrage.  That is what is sad.  Nobody really stood up and screamed out in anger for that child.  This family was part of the Louisiana group here because of the storm.

For some reason this really got to me at the time. I spent much time in church praying for him when he went missing until the trajic sad ending and a devalued price of a life let a man get only 5 years.

It is sad nothing was done sooner. Obviously when a 3 year old goes missing no expense should be spared to find him.
