On Wednesday, February 1, 2006, around 5:50 a.m., Mark Barzilla and another individual were sitting in Mark’s truck in the 9600
block of Pagewood when an unknown black male approached on the driver’s side.
Mark had a short conversation with the man, and then the man pulled a handgun and shot him once in the head. Mark drove his truck
forward a short distance before hitting a tree, and died at the scene.
The suspect was described as being a black male, 25-26 years old, 5’8” - 5’9” tall, 140- 150 pounds, with a short afro hairstyle. He
wore a white t-shirt and carried a semiautomatic handgun.
Crime Stoppers will pay up to $5,000 for information leading to the identification, arrest and charging of any suspect(s) in this
