Humberto Rodriguez - Clinton Drive April 6, 2007
« on: September 14, 2007, 06:51:28 AM »
38-year-old Humberto “Beto” Rodriguez was driving a work van with co-worker Antonio Sanchez as a passenger when they stopped for a train in the 7100 block of Clinton Drive. Suddenly an armed Hispanic male forced his way into the van and ordered Sanchez to the rear cargo area. He
told Rodriguez to continue driving East on Clinton Drive, and then to turn North on McCarty Drive.

For unknown reasons, Rodriguez turned in to the Supermercado Suksa at 2102 McCarty. The suspect then fired his weapon, striking Rodriguez several times. He also fired at Sanchez, striking him as well. While Sanchez survived his wounds, Humberto Rodriguez died at the scene. The
suspect exited the van and fled the scene in an unknown direction.

Crime Stoppers will pay up to $5,000 for information leading to the identification, arrest and charging
of any suspect(s) in this case. Anyone with information on the case is urged to call Crime Stoppers at
713-222-TIPS (8477). All callers remain anonymous.
