22-year-old Billy Dorsey and a group of friends were hanging out and playing dice near the 4100 block of Barberry Street in southeast Houston on April 1, 2007 at approximately 11:00 p.m. Billy got into a minor disagreement with a tall, thin black man regarding the dice game and decided to leave.
He returned a short while later and was shot twice in the back with a handgun by the man he had disagreed with. Although there was a crowd of people nearby when the shooting occurred, no witnesses have come forward.
Investigators have learned that the suspect dropped the pistol after shooting Billy Dorsey, and another unknown man picked it up. HPD Homicide investigators are asking the public’s help in finding the murder weapon and in providing information on the suspect.
