Crime Stoppers and HPD Homicide Investigators are asking the public’s help with information leading to the solution of a mysterious homicide.
Investigators responding to a call for service at 3435 Walnut Bend on June 26, 2007 found the body of 43yearold Melvin Silas inside apartment 3011. A canvass of people living in the area turned up no one who claimed to have heard or seen anything that would have led to Silas’ death.
Crime Stoppers will pay up to $5,000 for information leading to the identification, arrest and charging of any suspect in Melvin Silas’s death. Anyone with information on this case is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 713222TIPS (8477). All callers remain anonymous.
