Crime Stoppers and HPD Hit and Run Investigators are asking the public’s help in providing information leading to the identification, arrest and charging of any suspect(s) involved in the January 12, 2006 hit and run death of 54-year-old Russell Alan Sartain.
Mr. Sartain’s vehicle apparently had run out of gas, and he was struck while walking westbound on the Katy Freeway exit ramp. An empty gas can was found near his body, along with pieces of the right side mirror of what is believed to be a 2003-2006 Ford Expedition.
Crime Stoppers and private sources are offering up to $11,000 for information leading to the arrest and charging of any suspect(s) in this case. Anyone with information is urged to call Crime Stoppers at (713) 222-TIPS (8477). You do not have to give your name, and may earn as much as $11,000 in cash rewards.
