True, but this seems to be a unique case since a brother and sister were taken.

This is true, but this seems to be a unique since a brother and sister were taken, Most kidknappers dont risk two children at one time. It is very possible that this children knew the person or persons involved in their disappearance.  Someone maybe hidding something to protect another person.

That is what I am thinking. So there is probably a good chance tehy are still alive in some other city somwhere. Would be great if this can be solved.

Agree, have they tried to hire a private investigator or some one who is psychic that has worked with the police. Its never to late. sometimes in these cases somethings may have been over looked. It's just a suggestion

Police have said that they believe it's possible the suspect in the Jonathon Foster, 12, 12/2010 abduction & murder, Mona Nelson, is a serial killer and are looking for other crimes that she might have committed.  In a Houston Chronicle article, posted her timeline info and part of it was "Nelson said she'd been living in Cookville in East Texas since January 1985, in a house owned by her father-in-law, Clyde Nelson, a sex offender who was sentenced to 30 years in prison for sexually assaulting a 5-year-old girl in August 1985. A probation officer who visited the home in September 1985 reported the home was clean and Nelson's children appeared well cared-for."   

The Mayfield children were abducted not far from the area the Foster crime took place in January 1985.

Mona Nelson also already had an arrest record for a violent crime in 1985 and resided with a pedophile.

I have to say that seeing these two beautiful children ever time I log into this website just tugs at my heart. I hope it isn't so, but I hope that their family either gets their children home or in the worst case -- closure.

Yes I hope the gfamily gets closure too. I was not aware that a potential serial killer was a person of interest in this case. I assume then the suspect is out of prison, as is has been 25 years.

Oh wow. That is totally wild.  Unbelievable that they could have caught this person here in Houston after killing poor Jonathon Foster.  That would really be something if they got a confession for these or matched her DNA to any possible evidence the police may have which beats a confession any day.

Just to clarify, police state that they believe Mona Nelson (person charged in Jonathon Foster's murder) is a Serial Killer or has at the least, done this type of thing before and they are looking for other cases that she could have done.   When looking at her timeline info and missing persons in Texas, I was just wondering if she could be good for this abduction?  The fact that she moves in Jan 85 and is living with a pedophile, who was subsequently charged with assaulting a 5 year old, all sort of fits with the abduction of these children.  Just a theory....
