He was last seen wearing a blue jean jacket, blue jeans and grey shoes. Mr. Weems' vehicle was found abandoned in Alice, Texas, with all the personal possessions in it.

Billy Ray Weems remains were identified through DNA as those that were found around 1999 in a ditch near a high school in Corpus Christi, TX.  An article about the identification is now on the internet.  The article said that his cause of death remains unknown.
