On Friday, May 4, 2001, Tony Pico was visiting with friends and family members at the Capriccio Club at 7917 Westheimer. Just before midnight, Tony went outside to get something from his car. As he exited the club, he noticed a fight ensuing in which another friend of his was involved. Tony attempted to intercede on his friend’s behalf, and was struck three times in the head with a baseball bat by one of the attacker’s friends.
The attackers fled in a 1990-1995 Cadillac described as being from silver to cream in color. Tony died May 8, 2001 from his injuries.
The suspect pictured above is described as a Hispanic male, 18-20 years old, 6’2”, heavy set build, with a medium-dark complexion. He had a short bald fade haircut and was clean shaven. The suspect wore baggy blue jean shorts and a polo type shirt.
